Edgar Figueroa, Executive Director
Edgar Figueroa is the Executive Director of the Wi-Fi Alliance. Edgar and his staff work with the Wi-Fi Alliance Board of Directors and member companies to promote the Alliance mission and deliver programs that support the Wi-Fi industry’s fast paced growth. Previously Edgar managed the Wi-Fi Alliance technical operations, establishing a program development framework, managing the commercialization of numerous certification programs, and forging a number of strategic initiatives.
Prior to the Wi-Fi Alliance, Edgar had technical and product marketing roles for a range of real-time IP communications solutions at Ridgeway Systems & Software (now Tandberg) and 3M Company.
Edgar served a four year active duty tour with fighter pilot training squadron in the United States Navy. He has taught at the University of Texas at Austin, at Austin Community College, and for a number of community programs in Austin.
Edgar is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. He holds a Masters in Technology Commercialization, and undergraduate degrees with honors in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics.
